The Lake Campus of Wright State University is situated between Celina and St. Marys on 173 scenic acres on the north shore of Grand Lake St. Marys. At the center of the multifaceted mission of the Lake Campus is its commitment to meet the needs of an open enrollment environment by supplying placement testing, advising, and financial assistance to all those who aspire to a college education. The Academic & Instructional Services provides both tutorial assistance as well as ties to national associations and agencies.
Through quality instruction and programs, the Lake Campus provides pre baccalaureate and technical education at the associate degree level and numerous courses leading to baccalaureate degrees. In aiding members of the community to advance in their careers and to provide job specific training, the Lake Campus also offers seven certificate programs. With the recent additions of the College of Nursing and Health's BSN outreach program, and the College of Business and Administration's MBA 2000 Program, and a 2 + 2 Technical Education program in cooperation with Ohio Northern University, the mission of the Lake Campus has grown to encompass bachelor, professional, and master degrees.
With its Small Business Development Center and College Community Arts Council (now in its 25th year), the college maintains its close ties to the business and cultural development of the community. With the full support of its administration, faculty, and university resources, the Lake Campus is determined to foster education in the community while maintaining the highest possible levels of instruction, scholarly activity, professional service, and community involvement.
As a college within a major metropolitan university, the Lake Campus is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Such accreditation assures not only the highest standards of accountability and programming but also transferability of all academic courses to major universities throughout the country. In addition, various degrees and programs have received separate accreditation with numerous statewide and national associations and agencies.
